how old is he. I got lucky my daughter gave up the binky on her own. Try telling him that the babies at the hospital need his binky more then he does or have him give it up on his own. good luck with the binky

I don't know how old he is, but my 4 year old was 6 months old when she was taken off it and she didn't care. My 2 year old mainly used it when she was going to bed, and she was taken off at 1 year, she cried a couple of nights, but she is perfectly fine and binky free. she now sleeps with a baby, or her stuffed doggy. He may not be ready yet. Or maybe he's using it for comfort. If he's using it for comfort try to find something else for comfort such as a blanket or a stuffed animal.

my son's dentist told us to start cutting his pacifier back to a nub. we would cut it back every other day or so and he was only taking it at night (around 2yrs). it made him so mad that after a week or so he went and threw it in the trash and then we had a couple of really tough nights (we had to really comfort him) and then he never mentioned another word about it! hope this helps. good luck.

My daughter had just turned 2 and this was my 3rd time trying to get her off the bink. So on my 3rd time I took all the binks i had around and cut the nippels off half way. Then when they would want/need it and you give it to them there really wont be anything there to suck on. It took about 3 days and she did not ask or cry for it. Good luck let us know how you make out.

We told our daughter that the bird took it away. Now, at first whenever saw a bird, she would say........gimmie back my binky birdy!
