My husband and I have been trying to start our family with no luck do to my PCOS. Does anyone out that have PCOS? We have tried taking clomid and other fertility drugs with no luck. We are starting to seriously consider adoption but part of me still wants to be pregnant and go through all of those experiences.

Any help would be wonderful. Thank you

Hi,
I recently was diagnosed with PCOS. I am a mother of two boys and now we are trying to conceive our third child with no luck so far. I had a misscarrige in november last year and now I understand that it could be because of my PCOS. Since June I'm on metformin, medicine that could help to put some balance to my hormones again and then again help with pregnancy. This is all so new to me so I am trying to find some answers here and there. I am still hoping to get pregnant ...guess time will tell! Regarding adoption, I feel that is an option I could really consider. That would sure be another kind of rollercoster. I do understand that you want to become pregnant yourself. It is a wonderful feeling. How long have you been trying to conceive? Have you tried this metinformin?
I wish you the best of luck!!!

Hello,
I also have PCOS and Im 3 mos pregnant now.. I waited 11 years to have a child and had my first baby last year.. Thank goodness everything went well. I did not take any fertility pills. I was given metformin, but I could not take the side effects so I stopped taking it, against my doctors orders. I was overweight. Although I didnt think I was horribly heavy, My doctor requested that I loose some weight. My husband and I began to eat right.Ate Lots of green vegetables, fruits and proper portions. Excercised 4 days out of the week and believe me It was so hard, because my weakness was pizza and wings, But I decided to try to loose weight before we tried to get pregnant. Again no luck. I was not having having menstrual and was skipping months, and I cried. All I wanted was a baby. We decided to get my husband also checked, and it came back that his testerone was low, so he was given a gel called testim to help raise his testosterone. warning, this gel takes the worse out of someone. Makes a man mean, angry and they look like they are on something. So I went again to the Dr after so many months of my husband taking this gel and we got pregnant. We miscarried.. I was so hurt. But I knew now I can get pregnant. I kept eating right, excercised and went on with life,.starting taking prenatal pills as a daily vitamin and I lost 30 lbs. My husband lost over 100. Go figure, but as soon aS I lost the weight and ate well we got pregnant again, I do belive that I beat PCOS. all though I still have side effects of it like abnormal hair in weird places and I have gained a lil weight back, because of my first pregnancy and now with my new pregnancy it will go well.. I honestly suggest eating better. Not dieting.. eating better.. you and your spouse, make it a team effort. and it will work. And most of all have faith. We had applied for adoption when everything was approved and someone from the childs side came forward wanting custody of the child, we stepped back from adopting him. We then got pregnant. My doctor believes that me losing weight had a lot to do wtih me getting pregnant. I was always in the high 180"s and 200"s as soon as I lost my weight under 180. I got pregnant. Though he wished I would have stayed on the metformin, because the chance of a child surviving while pregnant for a PCOS patient is very low. Metformin while pregnant can increase the child survival. In my case, she was my lil miracle.. she was perfect. no problems whatsoever.. its worth it..ladies. Dont stop.. believe me I always felt like I was not a women with out being a mother, I was so depressed when friends got pregnant and I was not. I was excited for them, but was hard for me. I wanted to feel the baby in my womb, and get the big belly.. And with faith, right foods and the support of my husband.. she's here.. Its worth it.. dont stop trying please. Its the best feeling in the world.. even the big sexy belly is beautiful
